Rock-n-Roll Heaven.......

Since I can't get a song to upload (I'll try again later this week) from Lexi's Broadway Kids performance, I'll show you what my mom, dad and I did on Saturday night.  We went to a tribute show for Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Elvis called Rock-n-Roll Heaven.  It was GREAT!!!
Buddy Holly

Roy Orbison

The Tribute Group together

You can click on the picture if you want to read about the performers.  They were all fabulous!!!!  We have several theaters in town and we get some great shows.  Coming up in this same theater later this month is the comedian Gallagher and in June a Country Legends Tribute Concert - Tribute to Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings

Fun! We would enjoy that too. In August, BBKing and Buddy Guy are coming to the zoo. We would like to go to that.

Haven't see Gallagher around in ages, I'm glad to know he's still out there smashin' melons! He always makes me laugh hysterically; love his brand of humor!

Hi Darlene, I'm sorry I have missed a couple of your posts. I have been working in the yard and the flower garden sooo much I am beat. I can't stay awake at the end of the day. I love being outdoors after this long winter inside.

I know you had a wonderful time with your mom at the rock and roll show. I would have loved it too. I was a teen in the 50's. You know I would love that show. I love the photos. Your mom is very pretty and so are you. Especially with those happy smiles on your faces.

I'm glad the weather is warming up at night. It is here too. Finally the electric blanket is put away and the heat is off. This was such a cold winter. We sat through many games as our kids were growing up. but it was HOT at night in Florida. Lexi is into everything and I think it is wonderful. Children need activities these days. TV and computers have made slugs out of so many children anymore. Go Lexi!!

Big hugs to you today.

Hi Darlene~

That looks like such a fun night spent with your parents! I love old music so much~ my mom always listened to a radio station that played the 40's, 50's, and 60's...love it! :)

I hope you are having a wonderful week!

I recall you saying one time that you lived in a small town...that's wonderful you get so many shows/performers there. Have your parents made the permanent move to your town? We're gonna have some warm temps today. . . I still haven't done any yard work. Today, there's no rain and no wind, so I guess I can't put it off any more!

Hi Darlene
Looks a great concert. So glad you were able to enjoy it with your parents.
Sorry your package hasn't arrived. It must have been delayed with the volcanic ash cloud!

Hi Darlene, We took a bus to the top of the ride and biked down. Our cars were parked at the bottom. This is quit an organized operation. The bus driver said it was the first time a whole family filled his bus. HA! it was the most fun. I didn't mention I was the only one who fell. My grandson, the youngest one, turned in front of my bike to avoid a rock and STOPPED. I didn't hit him but my bike was touching his body. Yikes. Then as I got off my bike my backpack held a galleon of water and as I leaned over, the weight pulled me over the side of the mountain. I rolled about 30 feet before a tree stopped me. It was very steep. I laughed until I realized I wasn't stopping. I didn't even realize how I finally stopped and asked what stopped me. My little guy yelled down at me and said, "It was the tree grandma." My daughter was nothing short of hysterical. I was fine, just filthy dirty. HA! My little grand was crying his heart out. I just rode down the rest of the way in dirty clothes. Embarrassing to say the least. I didn't want to share that on my post. HA!

Have a wonderful day dear friend.

That looks like SOOOOO much fun! I love oldies! I bet you guys had the best time. We love attending live performances...concerts, musicals, plays, etc. It's pretty much one of my favorite things to do.

Hope you're having a great week!♥

Hi Darlene,
Thanks for stopping by this morning. I wish we could have joined you for that show. It looked amazing!!!
And tell Lexi, "great job" on the Garden Angel! She's so beautiful sitting there. I'm glad you took a pic from a distance so we could get a true idea of her size.
Take care,
