We Planted in the Front Bed.......

I wanted to show you how the front bed has turned out so far.  You can see here where my hubby tilled it up for me.

I bought mostly Knock Out roses but decided to try a couple of others also.  I bought two Garden Party Roses and one Spartan Rose.  These three roses were on sale for $7.50 each so I figured if I didn't do so well with them it wouldn't really matter too much.  Our sweet Mama Kitty had to help us.
Here it is all planted and I think it is beautiful!  I will add a few more Knock Out roses when I can.  I also moved my little Angel Girl to this bed.

We also put some solar lights in the bed.
The curb appeal is coming right along!♥

I'm lovin' your pretty flower bed! Do you know that I've tried so hard to grow Knock Out roses, but haven't had much luck. It must be this terrible Georgia soil...it's as hard as a rock!

Very Very nice looking...hard work but worth it in the long run.

Hi Darlene! Oh, this is looking so pretty. I love those knockout roses. I got some last year for mother's day and have decided my bushes must have not been very healthy - they've never bloomed much and look puny. Everywhere else I look - they're fabulous. I think I'll go get some more. Love those solar lights too. They really add ambiance at nighttime.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi Darlene, I'm home! We arrived home late Sunday night and yesterday I was too tired to do much. On top of that we had errands in town like buying food.HA! also Tags for our truck and car etc.

I love your roses and how beautiful it looks with the red mulch. I KNOW what a lot of work it is but the results are awesome. I don't think you will need more of anything in the bed because knockout roses get huge. When you see the photos I will share tomorrow and you will be surprised how much mine have grown since we put them in last fall. While I was gone this past week they all went from buds to roses. They are bubblegum pink. I love them.

We had a wonderful time on our trip to search out antiques. My sister bought so much and the the trip was a success. I bought a few things that I love as well. Now back to the old grime, (my flower beds).

Have a wonderful day and enjoy your beautiful roses.
Love, Jeanne

Your flower bed is looking wonderful, and the roses you chose are beautiful! I love the addition of the solar lighting, too! I saw them at Lowe's and have those on my list for our front bed (still a work in progress right now!)

Your home is so lovely! I love that last picture of it! :)
