What's Blooming and Thanks Lindsay and Jessica.....

Baskets of petunias
Day Lilies have gone bloomin' wild this year!
My fabulous hydrangeas.  I planted these at the end of last summer and diligently kept them watered.  They made it through the winter and are now putting out some beautiful blooms.

A little part of the new backyard bed. We definitely need a lot more plants and mulch.  These are some marigolds....I plan on getting more.  There is also a new spider plant in the hanging basket and a cute little iron birdfeeder.
Here is a close-up of the iron birdfeeder.
I also wanted to thank Lindsay and Jessica from The Cross Stitch House for sending us a gift from London, England.  They saw how Lexi had made hair clips from guitar picks and sent her some.  She LOVES them and said thank you very much.  Also, they sent us a London Underground fold up tote bag and map.  It is so interesting to look over it all.  Be sure to go visit their blog because they are always showing fabulous places from around their area.  Again, THANK you so much, you are both sweethearts!♥

Oh, and one more thing you may have noticed.  Lexi was tired of her straight hair and either wanted to cut it or get a perm.  She got a spiral perm right before recital.....gosh is it easy and we all think it looks really cute.

Cute stuff. The flowers are beautiful. I need to take my camera around the yard as well - I love it when it's full of blooms.
Hope y'all are doing well.

Hi Darlene
Your garden looks so pretty and colorful. I love the bird feeder too.
Glad you both liked your London goodies.
Lexi's perm looks lovely. It really suits her. Jessica has been wanting curls for years and our hair salons don't seem to do them much anymore. She just looked at Lexi's picture and said that's just how she wanst her hair doing. Do you know what size spiral rollers they used to do it? Does she have to let it dry naturally or can she use a hairdryer?

Darlene, I am about to hear the Idol results. Squeal. Lee, just won!!! Do you watch it Darlene? Crystal is just as good but girls vote and boys don't. Lee being a guy, had an edge.

I LOVE Lexi's hair. I was looking at how pretty she looked in her photos and thought you curled her hair. How nice that the guitar picks were something for Lexi. That is sooo sweet.

Your flowers look very pretty. My lilies are not blooming yet. I will say, all my plants are growing like crazy this year. Your iron bird feeder is really nice. Maybe you will get another great shot like the one on your header. I love that.

Have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Darlene your flowers are just beautiful. Hydrangeas are one of my favorites. We grew them when I was a child and I have lots of them now here in NC.

Lindsay and Jessica are just the best, aren't they? I'm so thankful I met them in Blogland.

Lexi's dance photo collage is just fabulous Darlene! You should have it printed and frame it as a poster.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the little iron bird feeder, Darlene! I had to let out a tiny (okay, big) *squeal* over that! And your hydrangeas are so gorgeous- you have such a beautiful garden!

BEAUTIFUL plants!!! I love that red petunia basket. Lexie's hair is too cute. I know it'll be so easy in the summer after swimming to just let it dry naturally. She's a doll.

Hi Darlene!!
We are home from the hospital, and we are going to live :) (I've always thought of living as a pretty good thing :)))
Thanks so much my sweet friend for all your well wishes, and kindness and compassion! You are awesome and I'm so glad that we have become blog-friends, ( I prefer to use the term pen-pals :))
Lexi is as adorable as ever, and I have to say she would look adorable with a frying pan on her head... but I love the spiral perm!!
Feeling jealous here of your gorgeous hydrangeas!! You are a farmer girl!!
We are taking it easy and healing up around here. Hoping you have a great night!

Hi Darlene, your plants and flowers look wonderful . . you definitely have a green thumb. They look so healthy too. Lexi's spiral looks real sweet on her. Looks like you and Lexi are real close, my daughter Cassandra and I are the same way, she just turned 20 years old, but she's my last one. My nest is starting to empty out . . definitely an adjustment. Have a nice evening! Sandy :O)
