It's Bloomin' Tuesday.....

First off, I want to thank all of you for the sweet birthday wishes.  You all are just the BEST!!  I'm linking up again with Ms. Green Thumb Jean for Bloomin' Tuesday.
I have to show you my birthday present.  Remember the backyard bed my hubby dug for me here?  Well, he did most of the work in helping me get it planted for this year.  I have been watching for some hydrangeas to go on sale, and they did!  We planted four Forever & Ever Hydrangeas and mulched the whole bed.
I LOVE it and hope these new hydrangeas do as well my other two I planted last year are.  Now, we just need to work on the grass....lol
Here is a close-up of one of the Forever & Ever Hydrangeas.  It is blooming out everywhere.  Also, these are supposed to be repeat bloomers and say they bloom on old and new wood.
My Moss Rose has come back up in three pots and finally the first one has bloomed!  Can't wait to see many more of these colorful blooms.
Out front, in my rose bed, the two Spartan Rose bushes are going crazy.
What a gorgeous salmon color.
Hope you are all enjoying a bloomin' Tuesday wherever you are.♥

SO pretty! Love your hydrangeas. Wish I could grow them but I've killed every single one I've set out. Raining here this morning.

Good morning Darlene, Your garden is looking soooo beautiful. Your hubby has worked very hard and the result is worth the effort. I know you are out there too. Since I do all the gardening, with hired help at times, I am so aware of the work involved. My hubby simply hates it but will pitch in to plant my flowers. We don't worry about the lawn so much on our mountain property. We just keep it mowed and trimmed. It is some grass and lots of weeds but it is one acre and too big to make it perfect. I am mostly concerned with the flower beds. There is a weed control product that I use and it works. You can only use it after the bed is weed free.

I love hydrangeas and yours are so pretty. A good choice for your garden. The roses you planted are wonderful. I had to spray mine the other day and I used Safer Soap. I think that is what it is called. Not a chemical and I like that. Something was eating the leaves.

Enjoy your wonderful flower beds.
Hugs, Jeanne

When we finish out fencing...we are having to replace a lot of the posts that have broken off, I want to landscape just like this!! It's just so beautiful. Hydrangeas are my favorite!!

Your new bed is wonderful! I love those hydrangeas. I have two Endless Summers in my yard and they don't bloom well. One year they had tons of bloom, last year a few and the year before none! I'm assuming it's the weather. That salmon rose is to die for!

Hydrangeas are some of my favorite plants, and there are so many different varieties. I am sure you will enjoy watching your new flower bed fill in as your plants grow. It is great to have a husband who likes to help with the heavy work. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Darlene. How exciting to get new plants and the bed all nice and mulched. I really need to do that here. Can't wait to see your pretty hydrangeas.

Aren't you in Oklahoma, and did you get any of this rain? It sounds scary. Hope everyone we know is safe.

Big hugs...

XO,

Sheila :-)

ooooooooo I am so jealous ha ha! Your bed is so nice. Last year I ripped up flower beds in front of our house and just let grass grow over because I did not realize how much work was involved and I was just not ready to do all of that work ha ha. I am now hankering to fix them and your pictures make me want to do it even more! Great work. I hope you have a great weekend!
