My Yard Sale Finds.....

Lexi and I stopped by a yard sale down the street on Saturday morning and these were the goodies I thought I "needed"....lol
These little luncheon plates and cups are so pretty with the grape motif.  There were six plates and cups for $5.00.  Lexi can't wait to have her lunch on them.  Maybe today.
A large picnic basket.  I am probably going to put it on top of my china cabinet and use it for storage.  It was $1.00.
Last, this beautiful hardcover book.  It is Lee Bailey's Southern Food & Plantation Houses.  I just flipped through the pages so far and it looks like their are some beautiful pictures.  Can't wait to see what recipes are in it.  This was $3.00.
I'm really trying to be picky about what I am buying at yard sales because I really don't "need" anything.  I am keeping my eyes open for things I can use in the yard or flowerbeds.♥

OH, you got some treasures, Darlene! Great prices, too! I have that Lee Bailey book, and there are some good recipes in there. The pictures alone, though, are worth the cost of the book.

XO,

Sheila

Your "finds" were neat...I too have so much stuff that I need to really be particular when shopping at the garage/yard sales...can't say that I "need" anything.

In a picnic basket I got at a sale several years ago I store some of the toys that my grandson likes to play with.

Have a fun filled weekend...stay cool!

Darlene, great finds! I especially love the glass plates and cups. I'd love to find a set in milk glass so I'm always keeping my eyes peeled!

I know what you mean about not buying much these days. I find myself walking away from items too. I've got so so much as it is. My goal this year has been to declutter, yet I still love trips to goodwill!

great goodies you found...I have been looking for snack plates/cups but they have been to pricy for me...good deal on yours.

I am actually looking for milk glass and yard stuff myself in my regualr stores.

Love your blooming post yesterday...lots of pretty blooms!

It looks like you have a knack for finding stuff in yard sales. Are you ever sorry about getting something? Not because the price or because it is not nice, but rather because you cannot find the right place for it in your house? You can list all your unwanted items for sale online on www.privategaragesale.com - it's totally free. No fees, no commissions - you keep all the money.

Your flower beds are looking fabulous! All that hard work is paying off. ;)

Darlene, your not going to believe this, but my Mother gave me a whole set of dishware just like that! Aren't they gorgeous? Mine are dusty right now- they've been in the pantry- I need to get them out and wash them and start using them.
Love the basket and book, too- I would say you hit the jackpot at that yard sale!
