Just Keeping it Real......

I hate it when certain areas just end up becoming the "dumping" station!  This is on the bar and everything seems to get put there.  Obviously I haven't been keeping the clutter off and this is the result.  Time to change it!!!
Ahhhhh, so much better.  No, the piles didn't just get moved somewhere else.  They were put up, filed or thrown away.  It just feels so much better when everything is in its' place.
Hope you are all having a great Monday.♥

wow, you've been working. Well, this weather makes me want to get things cleaned up and fixed up. Your bar looks great now. I totally understand about the piles. I do that in the pantry on the baking freezer. When I want to get something out of it I have to move a bunch of stuff. Enjoy the week!

You were a busy woman! Our "pile up" spot is the laundry room... I'm not sure WHEN I'll work up the courage to tackle THAT! LOL! Have a great week, Darlene!

Clutter can seem to grow overnight...yet it does not take that long to put everything in the correct location...oft times our garage is the "landing" place...usually until we make a trip to one of the storage buildings.

Enjoy this week!

One end of our kitchen bar gets to looking like your first picture at least once a week. I like the old saying, "a place for everything and everything in its place". Now if I could just get my hubby to remember, LOL!

After a busy week & even busier weekend my bar is looking the same way. I need to make it look like the after shot now - maybe after my coffee.
Enjoy your Monday.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has an area like this! My problem is that instead of immediately putting something away where it belongs, I just put it to the side! I'm trying to work on that though! I love your blog background...very cute!

Hi Darlene
WOW it looks so different. It's good to have a tidy up now and then. The only problem is that in this house it soon gets messy again!

I enjoy real! I have some suitcases and bags I need to empty from a weekend family reunion cluttering our family room. Your clean counter makes me want to hurry and get it all put away epecially before Mr B comes home! Thanks for the inspiration! \

I think this happens to the best of us, Darlene! In fact, I need to get some work done around here, too! :)

That looks like my whole house! God bless you for keeping it real...I tend to be a pile maker...what is all of that about?

This is a cute post and quite motivating my dear. Happy Monday and have a happy week!

I think we all have this same spot in our homes. I know I do and it's the red couch. I do my laundry most days there. When my couch is clean I feel as though the entire house is all clean..ha! Enjoy that clean cabinet :)

My island in the kitchen is the same way! Clutter is no fun, but I'm hoping to get rid of a bunch of mine this Saturday at my yard sale!

Hi Darlene, thanks for the LAUGH. How do we get these messes? One is probably a daughter such as Lexi who loves to make things. Smile. Your cleanup looks awesome. Let us know how long it will last. Your counter looks beautiful. I like the tile.

I am unable to go to bed if the kitchen and great room are messy. However, this very minute, I have three loads of laundry waiting to be folded in the guestroom on my pretty bed. Sigh. Everything is kind of spread out so it doesn't get wrinkled. Reheat keeps my drier busy. HA!
so don't think for a minute that you are alone in the mess thing.

Did you visit Beverly yet? She has until midnight to get more comments.

Hugs, Jeanne

I just read on a blog that you have now lost 25 pounds!! I would NEVER have thought you had that many pounds to lose!! However, WAY TO GO!!!! I'm proud of you!!

Currently my dining table is the dumping ground, complete with dead flowers given to Mom on her birthday on AUGUST 13TH. Think I need to throw them out? :D
