Lexi's Solo - "According to Plan" (Summer Play)

I hope you all enjoy the video.  She had a few wrong notes but overall did a FABULOUS job!  I guarantee you she got better and better each time!  We were all sad to see the last performance on Sunday.  She had a BLAST in this show.  This is a scene showing evil character Evelyn (Lexi as a witch) with her staff.  When you see Tito (the "tiny" giant) peeking in the curtain, he is listening to her song and finding out there is really not any way to get to the "real" world at all.  Enjoy!♥

LOL...that was a delight! She has got a real strong voice and it's a real good voice too. I love her long arms and legs and her high kick! If she loves this kind of thing she will go far...tell I said that she was great! And that comes from someone who knows all about singing leads in musicals! :D

Boy, those dance lessons paid off! She sings, dances, AND acts. I could NEVER attempt all of that. And what confidence she displays.

That boy on crutches was amazing too!

She's such a doll! You'll have to look into the summer camps at Oklahoma City University when she's a little older. Tanner loved them so much and they are with master teachers the whole time.

Oh Darlene, this was absolutely adorable. Lexi sure made me smile in delight. She did so well and that was a lot of words to memorize. Good job Lexie. BIG smile. My daughter was listening and asked who it was. She said it was very good too. She thinks Lexi is like our Ashley too.

I have had a long day but I wanted to say hi before I went to bed.

p.s.- Do you still have Hummingbirds? I think of you every time I fill my bird feeders up... I have so many hummers right now I can't keep my feeders filled up! (That's no joke- I fill both of them up almost every other day!)

I ADORE her!! What a blast, Darlene, to get to watch and hear her perform!! She did a wonderful job, too!!! I really appreciate you sharing that video, and the darling photos in the preceding post!! It just can't get much better than that as a parent!!

How's your walking/dieting going? It's so hot...I started to do my jog/walk this a.m. then said "nah" cuz it was too danged hot. SO, went to the farmer's market instead! It was hot there, too, but more fun!! :)

Have a great rest of the weekend! L, Dana

who would guess that I could be so proud of and so in awe of (and so jealous of her hair!!!) a sweet girl who I've not even met?! She is so natural on stage and her movements and kicks and interaction with the others- so natural! Lexi is so talented- I;m sure she makes her Mama quite proud :)

In reply to your reply :) . Good for you and your new size!!! I found that since I have started blogging, and spending more time on my you know what, that even though I weigh the same.....my clothes aren't as loose!!! I have exercised for years, but evidentally at my age, that isn't enough to stop "the spread". Adding a couple more times of walking a week has helped somewhat....so has decreasing the time I'm sitting in front of a computer! :) Anyway, it's a lifestyle issue....a good diet and exercise. Keep it up and enjoy your new-found wardrobe!! L,Dana

Hi Darlene
Oh boo its over...but what a fabulous experience for her and I can just "hear" in your post how thrilling the whole performance was.

I have to wait to watch it at work tomorrow..then I'll be back.

I'm sure you had a fabulous time with your folks...and a good weekend.

Hi Darlene
Just catching up with your blog. We have been away for 10 days with no internet!
Lexi is amazing. Her performance was wonderful. She is so confident and has a beautiful voice. Jessica and I loved seeing this and enjoyed it very much. I can see her on Broadway one day. We just saw the show 'Wicked' in London. If you haven't seen it you must. Lexi would make a pefect Glinda I am sure.
